The State of Washington issued a Stay Home Stay Healthy order on March 25th. This “shut down” has had major impacts through out the State, and locally. Eastsound Water’s meter reading data shows that between the period of March 25 – May 18 water use is down 17%. More striking has been the COVID 19 shut down’s impact on commercial water use. Commercial use during this same period has been down 60%.
