Eastsound Water has been recognized by the State Department of Health for our Water Treatment Optimization Performance. Eastsound is again one of the few water systems in Washington that has successfully maintain our voluntary commitment to significantly high treatment standards than required. The recognition is for at least 5 consecutive years of successfully meeting key public health measures; 100% compliance in thousands of system-wide water quality tests, and 100% success in maintaining treatment plant “optimization” standards. No missed samples, no treatment plant hiccups, no mishandled emergencies 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year, 5 years running.
