1) The single most common source of leaks are toilets. Leaky toilet flappers allow water to consistently, and often silently, run from the toilet tank into the toilet bowl.
2) The second most common leak source is outdoor irrigation systems, especially automated ones.
Your water meter is the demarcation between where EWUA’s infrastructure and responsibility ends and the property owner’s water lines and responsibility begins. Any water leak that is detected by a water meter is the property owner’s responsibility.

We also have a Catastrophic Leak Policy that can provide some relief from high water bills associated with leaks. To qualify for Catastrophic Leak Relief, a member must respond promptly to the leak and complete a repair that will significantly reduce the risk of a reoccurrence.
